NERA: THE BRALETTE THAT LAYS THE FOUNDATION
NERA is a simple, wireless bralette, designed as a first step into lingerie.
A deliberately basic pattern, it teaches essential techniques: working with raw-edge lace, managing elasticity, attaching elastic under tension, and assembling adjustable straps.
NERA does not aim to structure or constrain the bust.
Everything relies on the precision of the cut, the regularity of the seams, and the choice of materials.
Level: beginner
Sizes: 34 to 50 (based solely on bust measurement)
Style: triangle bra, wireless, raw-edge lace, soft cups, underbust elastic, adjustable straps
⚠️ NERA is suitable for small to medium busts.
It is not designed for larger busts or high support.
🧷 FABRIC, NOTIONS & YARDAGE
Recommended Fabric
– Stretch lace with a scalloped edge, preferably a galloon
Required elasticity: approximately 10%
(An elasticity test is included in the booklet.)
Yardage
For all sizes:
Lace galloon: 65 cm long × 40 to 50 cm wide
Elastics
– Strap elastic: approx. 1 m
– Underbust elastic: approx. 1 m (exact length calculated from your underbust measurement)
– Laminette: approx. 50 cm
Other supplies
– 1 bra closure
– 2 rings
– 2 adjusters

– zigzag or 3-step zigzag
Serger: not necessary
