Style: double-layer funnel neck, raglan sleeves, hem and cuffs finished like a structured sweatshirt.
🧷 FABRIC, NOTIONS & YARDAGE
Recommended fabrics
-
Brushed (or unbrushed) sweatshirt fleece for a soft, casual look
-
Milano or ponte for a cleaner version
-
Ottoman knit or wool-look fabric
-
Heavy French terry or heavyweight jersey
-
Soft knitted fabric for a cosy look
Avoid jerseys that are too thin or very stretchy: the pattern would lose its structure and neck shape.
Required stretch
A minimum of 20% stretch widthwise is required for the funnel neck.
The booklet’s stretch test explains how to check.
Yardage (140 cm width)
-
All sizes: 230 cm of fabric
-
If your fabric isn’t perfectly straight or if you want more leeway when cutting: 250 cm recommended
🔧 REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
-
Sewing machine: possible, but demanding
Lets you sew everything (stretch stitch or zigzag), but requires a bit more precision and gives less clean seam allowances. -
Overlocker/serger: highly recommended
For raglans, the funnel neck, cuffs, and hem:
cleaner finishes, a stretchier seam, smoother assembly.
